Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama, acknowledged that he was suggested by Mayor of North Jakarta, Wahyu Haryadi not to attend in the inauguration of the Penjaringan Indah RPTRA yesterday, Thursday (6/23).

"I've got a suggestion from mayor, not to attend in RPTRA inauguration," said Basuki, at City Hall, Friday (6/24).

He went on the say that Mr. Wahyu relayed the information of the situation in the field. Many crowds gathered to reject the inauguration.

"He (Mr. Wahyu) says there are crowds. Where does it come from? I don't know, they admit from mass organization and anything. They block all streets," he told.

Nevertheless, he remains decided to attend. Besides not wanting to disappoint the citizens, he also wants to show that the country has rules and law enforcement.

"Yesterday, I had a little late and was suggested may not come. Yes, I said asked the police. Indeed, the country is governed by the masses? This is not thug life. I still come and police must be responsible," he expressed.

According to him, not all citizens reject it. Some remain attend and there are still a few people shake hands and take pictures with him.

"When I opened my car's window, it's still fine. There are still citizens shake and take picture with me," he finished.
